ABOUT THE PROJECT
Nightmagnets Jewellery app was created to the scope of selling handcrafted jewellery that should also cover a large group of users with sensitive skin. The metals of our products are filled, to avoid using plated products that deteriorate over time.

THE PROBLEM
Most handcrafted jewellery apps sell plated hypoallergenic products instead of filled products, which leads to fewer options to choose from and or course, disappoint the customer.
THE GOAL
Design a jewellery app that allows users not only to choose their desired hypoallergenic material for the product of their choice, but also give them the opportunity to ask for a custom design.

While designing the Nightmagnets Jewellery App from conception to final design, my role and responsibility was to go through research, ideation and UX design principles also listed in the course.
USER RESEARCH
The research consists in creating empathy maps and taking interviews from users with sensitive skin, to understand their need and to be able to increase their satisfaction.
The users problems included less material options for the products they wanted to purchase and many sellers often offer plated handmade products, instead of giving the users the option to choose a material of their choice.

➤ CONTEXT
Nightmagnets Jewellery App offers unique wooden jewellery which contain also a list of hypoallergenic metals, so that people with sensitive skin can choose their suitable material. This way, the customers satisfaction is increased and irritations/infections are also avoided.

Hannah is a Software Developer who lives in Jacksonville, Florida. She likes unique jewelry, but because she has sensitive skin, she can not wear any type of jewelry.

STARTING THE DESIGN

➤ PAPER WIREFRAMES
Started the design by setting a few drawing sessions on paper, to understand the users perspective. The sessions consisted in having a Crazy 8 session, a big picture Storyboard, a close-up Storyboard and the paper wireframes.

➤ DIGITAL WIREFRAMES & PROTYPE
The prototype contains an entire purchase flow of a pair of stud silver earrings.

USABILITY STUDY
The wireframes were tested with 5 users and was splitted in two days. The notes resulted from the usability testing, were placed in a FigmaJam file, which helped in taking some decisions and also for updating some screens from wireframes to mockups. Some problematic findings are listed below:
FINAL MOCKUPS & PROTOTYPE
The mockups version of the app, with the necessary updates which concluded after the usability study.
